Eco-efficiency (EE)

The indicator of economic dimension along with environmental dimension.

Eco-efficiency (EE) is a theoretical principle applied to business organizations

to achieve sustainable development. By definition will demonstrate the efficiency of using natural resources in the ecology and used as the indicator of economic dimensions along with environmental dimensions that are useful for organization. Which is an important guideline of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in terms of production, products utilization and services that respond basic human needs and improving the quality of life. At the same time, it can reduce the use of natural resources, toxic materials, reduce emissions and waste throughout the product and service life cycle. By focusing on producing and using sustainable products and services, improvement of efficiency of natural resources and energy use including focusing on finished goods and product whole life cycle since production, use, reuse, recycling and the disposal. Therefore, Eco-efficiency means managing business sectors to increase their competitiveness. Along with responsibility for natural resources and the environment.
