Water Footprint (WF)

The method to evaluate the water consumption and water efficiency.

The water footprint is a method to evaluate the water consumption and water efficiency both directly and indirectly of process or organization by using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) principles, from the acquisition of raw materials stage, production stage, use stage and disposal. By evaluated the water footprint in the form of water consumption per product unit (Liter/Product unit). Water Footprint of Product or Water Footprint for Organization has been calculated by using life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology according to ISO 14046:2014 Environmental – Water Footprint – Principles, Requirements and Guidelines. LCA methodology carried out in four distinct phases: goal and scope definition, life cycle inventory analysis, life cycle impact assessment and interpretation.
